Summary Of The Best Of Lewis Carroll – Alices Adventures In Wonderland; Through The Looking-Glass; What Alice

This edition of the Alice books by Lewis Carroll comprises Alice?s Adventures in Wonderland and its sequel Through the Looking-Glass, And What Alice Found There along with Sir John Tenniel?s whole original black-and-white illustrations.Carroll?s dream worlds of nonsensical Wonderland and the back-to-front Looking-Glass kingdom depict a flipped order: a baby turns into a pig; time is abandoned at a disordered tea party, and a seven-year-old girl is made Queen. It is considered to be one of the best examples of the literary nonsense genre. The tale plays with logic, and the anarchic humor and sparkling wordplay, puzzles and riddles, are poignant moments of nostalgia for lost childhood. Its ongoing legacy encompasses many adaptations for stage, screen, radio, art, ballet, theme parks, board games, and video games.
