Katherine Mansfield’s creative years were burdened with loneliness, illness, jealousy, alienation – all this reflected in her work. Like Anton Chekhov, Mansfield depicted insignificant events and minute changes in human behavior. She is, perhaps, New Zealand’s most famous writer till date. Mansfield’s family memoirs were collected in Bliss (1920). This edition also contains Prelude, The Daughters of the Late Colonel, Miss Brill, The Garden Party and other great stories.
