This book Science and its Pedagogy involves Science in the form of discussion on its concepts as well as its pedagogy. The book has been divided into two sections. The first section looks at science and its pedagogy at the primary level and includes unit 1 and 2 respectively. As we know that at primary level science has been integrated with social science and is taught as EVS. Thus, the unit 1 of the book discusses the concept and significance of EVS at the primary level. The second section of the book looks at science and its pedagogy at the secondary level and includes unit 3 and unit 4. The unit 4 begins with various perspectives of science, its nature and the interrelationship between science, society and technology as well as how it has implications for teaching science. Resources have been seen broadly and include activities that we can do in or outside the classroom and in the laboratory. Hence, the idea of laboratory work or practical work has not been seen as an isolated activity but as a resource for enriching the Science learning.
