The Siege of Krishnapur is a fictional novel by J. G. Farrell which won the Booker Prize in 1973 and shortlisted for The Best of the Booker in 2008.
Inspired by the Sipahi Mutiny in 1857, The Siege of Krishnapur is set in the fictional town in India where a British garrison withstands a four-month siege by mutineers. The Siege of Krishnapur is written in perspective of the British residents under siege.
