The Three Musketeers is a classic novel by French author Alexandre Dumas. Set in the seventeenth century, the story follows a young Gascon named D’Artagnan who travels to Paris to join the Musketeers of the Guard. Upon arriving, D’Artagnan has a chance encounter with Athos, Porthos and Aramis, three musketeers who become his close friends and companions. Together, the four musketeers embark on a series of adventures and duels, defending the honour of the queen and fighting against the plots of Cardinal Richelieu and his agents. Along the way, they encounter a cast of memorable characters, including the cunning Milady de Winter and the loyal servant Planchet.
