Federico García Lorca, born in 1896 in Spain, tragically met his end in 1936, assassinated by the fascist police under General Franco’s rule. This second volume presents 157 letters translated directly from Spanish by Sri Tarun Kumar Ghatak, covering the period from 1929 to 1936 and compiled in numerical order. The book includes a biography and selected paintings by Lorca. These letters offer Bengali-speaking readers a must-read insight into Lorca’s life. In this context, Anustup is unveiling a book titled “”Lorcar Chithi”” Vol. II for the first time, providing a valuable addition to Lorca’s literary legacy.
