This book forms part of a series developed under the Prime Minister’s Scheme for Mentoring Young Authors-YUVA (Young. Upcoming and Versatile Authors). The Scheme envisages to train young authors of below 30 years to promote reading, writing and book culture in the country and also to project India and Indian writings globally. It was launched during 2021-22 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India to commemorate 75 years of India’s Independence with National Book Trust. India as the Implementing Agency under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav programme. The books published under the series revolve around the Theme of National Movement of India with focus on Unsung Heroes, Unknown and Forgotten Places and their role in freedom struggle in genres like fiction, non- fiction, biography, etc. The authors, selected under the Scheme through an All-India Contest carried out in all 22 Official Indian languages and English, were mentored by eminent authors/subject experts to develop their original selected book proposals into full-fledged books with support of scholarships by the National Book Trust, India.
